Frankincense Sacra Oleo Extract - 50ml

Did you know that whilst frankincense essential oil is amazing for so many reasons, most of the true goodness comes from the resin.

Of all the varieties of frankincense, Boswellia Sacra is one of several that contains Boswellic Acid. This resin acid makes up around half of the resin portion of Frankincense……the rest is oil and gum.
Many studies have indicated that it’s this Boswellic Acid rather than the oil that is responsible for the renowned healing & anti-inflammatory properties of Frankincense. It's long been utilised to treat arthritis & rheumatism along with some forms of cancer, ulceration, crohn's disease, UTIs, depression, and much more. 

Creating our Frankincense Sacra Oleo Extract is a worthy investment of time and patience.

Fine powdered resin is infused in Fractionated Coconut Oil and heated in a water bath for several hours, allowing the oil to absorb the perfume and more importantly the Boswellia acids from the resin. 

It’s then ready to be filtered and used, but we’ve left it to steep for two months for it to thicken up and allow the optimum amount of resin compounds and Boswellic acid to be absorbed.

Did you know that many of these healing compounds can be absorbed through the skin and are able to cross the blood-brain barrier?

This beautiful oil extract can be applied directly to your skin, unlike essential oil, allowing you to enjoy the full benefits of Boswellic acid, such as its natural anti-inflammatory and anti-aging properties. 

It can be applied to aching joints or to your face or dilute it further and use as a massage oil.
