Myrrh Resin
Myrrh Resin
100% Pure Commiphora myrrha (Myrrh) resin from Somalia
Myrrh is known for having anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant qualities. It's especially beneficial for oral health and healing.
For tooth or gum problems, grind a small amount of resin into a powder and dissolve in hot water. Once cooled, use this water to gargle and swish around your mouth. It's not recommended to swallow.
Historically Myrrh was used throughout Biblical times for ceremonial purposes and as an embalming oil.
It is also used in ointments to treat wounds, in perfumery and as incense.
Like our other resins, Myrrh resin is traditionally burned on charcoal (if you do, make sure the charcoal is grey before dropping the resin onto it), or an electric burner.
We find placing a piece in a small amount of oil in an oil burner gives a much softer perfume which lasts for days.
Please note that we’re not medically trained so don't take our word for it and please do your own research. There’s an abundance of information around on the benefits of this wondrous, healing resin.
